Product Overview
Nitrous nitrogen (NO) refers to the nitrogen content in soluble and suspended particles in water, including nitrite nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, inorganic ammonium salts, dissolved ammonia, and nitrogen in most organic nitrogen-containing compounds. When lakes and reservoirs contain excessive nitrogen and phosphorus substances, it causes vigorous reproduction of phytoplankton and leads to eutrophication. Therefore, eutrophication caused by nitrate nitrogen has become a major global environmental issue that countries around the world attach great importance to, and nitrate nitrogen has also become one of the important indicators for controlling water quality.
working principle
Quantitatively determine nitrate by utilizing the absorption of nitrate ions at a wavelength of 220nm. Dissolved organic matter also absorbs at 220nm, while nitrate ions do not absorb at 275nm. Therefore, another measurement was taken at 275nm, and the corrected absorbance A was calculated according to the formula A=A220-2A275 to correct the nitrate nitrogen value.
